How It Works

  • Xbira 250mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine prescribed to treat prostate cancer.
  • It works by blocking the action of an enzyme called CYP17.
  • This enzyme is involved in the production of the male hormone androgen, as some prostate cancer depends on these hormones to grow, and this medicine effectively slows down or stops the progression of cancer by inhibiting the action of this enzyme.
  • In this way this tablet cuts off the fuel supply that the cancer cells need to survive.
