Letero (Letrozole) tablet is used in the treatment of early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. This tablet belongs to the type of antineoplastic (cancer-fighting medications) known as nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. Letero tablets work by decreasing the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This decrease in estrogen can stop the growth of some breast cancers that need estrogen to grow. It is important to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dose of Letero tablets is decided by a doctor according to your previous medical condition and response to the treatment.
Letrozole is an aromatase inhibitor used in the treatment of breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors work by inhibiting the action of the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens into estrogens by a process called aromatization. As breast tissue is stimulated by estrogens, decreasing their production is a way of suppressing the recurrence of breast tumor tissue. After the administration, the effect of this medicine can be observed in 2 to 6 weeks.
This tablet is used in the treatment of certain types of breast cancer (hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in women after menopause. Letro tablets work by reducing the production of breast cancer cells. Take this medicine with or without food orally once a day.
