Overview of Vaccine 

Biovac A vaccine is given to immune the person from liver disease caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV). Hepatitis A Virus spreads from person to person via contaminated food or water. Both the shots of the vaccine are necessary for protection from this virus. Hepatitis A antigen is prepared from formaldehyde-inactivated hepatitis A virus grown in human diploid cells. It is used for active immunization against hepatitis A infection.

Usage of Biovac A 

Biovac A injection works to stimulate the body to start the production of essential antibodies against Hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection. This injection is administered in two shots, almost six months apart. It is used for active immunization against hepatitis A infection. Biovac A injection is made from a dead virus that leads to the development of proteins against the infection.

Biovac A vaccine may not be administered to patients suffering from any of the following diseases:-

  • HIV/AIDS 

  • Agammaglobulinemia

  • Liver Disease

Also, you should avoid the administration of this vaccine if you are allergic to neomycin to prevent any adverse reaction.
