Lenakast comprises Lenalidomide and it is indicated for the treatment of Blood cancer. This anti-cancer medication specifically belongs to a group of antineoplastics known as immunomodulatory agents. Lenakast is available in the form of a capsule and it helps in increasing the activity of the body’s defense system against cancerous cells. Blood Cancer
Lenalidomide is an immunomodulator having anticancer, antiangiogenic, and anti-inflammatory effects. Lenalidomide causes direct cytotoxicity in hematological malignant cells by enhancing apoptosis and reducing proliferation. It inhibits tumor growth in vivo in nonclinical hematological tumor models, such as multiple myeloma. Lenalidomide also serves to prevent invasion or metastasis of tumor cells and inhibits angiogenesis.
